2 Things I NEED
I am not really into techie stuffs. I own a mobile phone, but I do not really consider it a very important device. I can live without it, as long as there are public payphones around the city.
But if there were two gadgets or devices I could not do without, first, it would probably be my mechanical insulin pump. This is very important for me, especially that I was diagnosed to have type II Diabetes Mellitus last year. Without this device, I would probably end up having complications of my disease. I am also careful to maintain my normal sugar level, as well as the insulin demands of my body, so that I could also prevent the onset of my other disease condition, which is the Guillain-Barre Syndrome. The other device that I carry for my self is the mini battery-operated fan. I got this from my physician who gave it to me to aid me during hot weather. I sweat a lot, so in cases where I am situated on a very hot and humid environment, I have a gadget that can cool me off.
In addition, I really need to cool my body, so that I would not experience migraine and eventually get pale and weak. I need to maintain a normal temperature, especially during warm weather. These are the two gadgets that really matter to me. These may be extraordinary, but these help me to function normally as a nurse and a mother. Other gadgets are only secondary for my needs.
